American Medical Associates seeks a permanent, full-time, friendly, and dependable Mental Health Front Desk Receptionist to join our team who can multi-task in a fast paced environment Monday through Friday _**with required rotating Saturdays.**_

**GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES**:Maintain the Mental Health front office and represent the practice with professionalism. This position requires multi-tasking effortlessly, prioritizing efficiently, handling patient requests, placing outbound calls to patients, and handling all administrative tasks with a positive attitude (to include patient check-in, check-out, receiving payments, and answering telephones).
- Patient registration and demographic input into the eClinicalWorks EMR system.
- Ensure all payments including co-pays, deductibles and others are being collected from patients at the time of service following Good Faith Estimate (GFE).
- Collects and track all payments in the Mental Health Division.
- Insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
- Answering telephones.
- Schedule and confirm all Mental Health patient appointments.
- Monitor patient flow and keep patients informed of delays.
- Maintain cleanliness and décor for the Mental Health Division lobby.
- Assist with scanning, purging and faxing patient records.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Essential Duties including but not limited to**:

- Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
- Verifies patient’s insurance and collects patient co-pays and unmet deductibles.
- Answers telephone, screen calls, takes messages, and provides information.
- Schedules patient appointments as requested.
- Maintains and updates current information on the physician’s schedule ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments and blood draw schedule.
- Process faxes by creating telephone encounters and sending these to the appropriate recipients.
- Responds to patient text messages.
- Oversees the waiting area, coordinates patient movement, reports problems or irregularities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Keeps lobby and front desk area clean and tidy per COVID-19 protocols.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- **Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.**_
- After successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k), as well as an opportunity to accrue sick and paid time off will be offered._

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
