Noah's Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort is a privately owned, small animal veterinary practice dedicated to providing top-notch medical care. We are looking for a skilled and experienced associate veterinarian with leadership qualities to join our team as the Medical Director/Managing DVM.

Location: 
We are conveniently located between Baltimore-Annapolis, MD, and the Washington, D.C. area, offering access to a wealth of cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities.  
Position Overview: 
We are seeking someone who not only excels in practicing good medicine but also takes on greater responsibilities in guiding our veterinary team and shaping the overall medical direction of our practice alongside our management team with the support of credentialed technicians. Here's a general outline of the duties we envision:

  • Clinical Leadership: As the Medical Director/Managing DVM, you'll provide clinical leadership and guidance to our veterinary team, ensuring that high-quality medical care is consistently delivered to our patients. 
  • Team Development: You'll play a pivotal role in the professional development of our veterinary staff, including mentoring and training initiatives to foster growth and expertise within the team.
  • Protocol Development and Implementation: Collaborating with our management team, you'll refine the existing medical protocols and standards of care to ensure the highest level and most current medical services for our patients.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of current veterinary trends, technologies, and medical advancements to continuously improve our medical services and patient care.
Schedule:We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer a flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle. We're happy to work with you to customize a schedule that meets your preferences and needs. We can accommodate:
  • 10-hour shifts
  • 8-hour shifts
  • No nights (We close at 7pm, get home in time for dinner)
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
  • Active license to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Active DEA license
  • Experience as a practicing veterinarian with a strong medical & surgical background.
  • Proven leadership & management skills, with the ability to motivate & inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on client satisfaction and compassion for our patients and their owners.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
