**Duties**:

- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Visitor Control Center, Mail Room and Pass and ID on the Garrison.
- Investigates and reviews reports of criminal history to identify the presence or absence of derogatory information, reviewing the impact of various kinds of derogatory information when recommending the granting, or denying depot access.
- Collects information, and interviews applicants concerning derogatory information.
- Oversee and manage operation security reports, run reports, analyze, collect data, and research information in order to gather data from outside installations.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical. The incumbent must be capable of lifting packages weighing 70 lbs.

- **Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) advising on personnel security programs; 2) conducting security related background investigations; and 3) preparing reports or provide briefings of security issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

**Education**: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

**Combination of Education and Experience**: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
