We are looking for qualified Infant Teachers to prepare children so that they are developmentally ready for our Toddler Classroom You will establish appropriate practices so that they can successfully grow and thrive. You will spend time engaging the babies with sensory projects, reading, singing songs, teaching them tummy time or how to roll, and influencing their behavior, growth and development.

An infant teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices in infant and toddler educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and build relationships.

The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of education and reach age-appropriate milestones

**Teacher to student ratio: 1:5, 2:11**

**Responsibilities**
- You will work closely with our Director of Curriculum to implement a creative program suitable for the children in our infant classroom
- Attend to the physical and emotional needs of infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Gross motor and fine motor activities for the children to help assist with their development
- Encourage children to interact with each other and learn social skills
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children's progress and communicate with parents regularly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Employee must utilize KidKare & Procare daily

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as an infant Teacher
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Teacher
- Excellent understanding of the principles of infant and toddler development
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Patience and ability to handle high-stress situations
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
- Must have knowledge of Arizona Department of Health Services licensing regulations pertaining to childcare
- Completion of the Early Childhood Courses in Infant Training through the Department of Health Services in Child Care and the Arizona Workforce Registry

**Mandatory Credentials**
- Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
- A negative TB test dated within the last year
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- High School Diploma or Transcripts
- One or more years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a childcare setting

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Peoria, AZ 85345: Relocate before starting work (required)
