**Registered Nurse (RN), Corrections - (1099 Independent Contractor) - Must be licensed in Pennsylvania**

**Location**:SCI Muncy, Pennsylvania

**Duration**: 8-12 week contract with the possibility to extend or transition to full-time employment with the state

**Schedule**: Full-time hours, Monday - Friday, every other weekend, rotating holidays

**Shifts Available**:1st or 2nd shift
- 1st Shift: 0600-1430
- 2nd Shift: 1400-2230

**Compensation**: $55-70/hour depending on experience (flat rate)

**Payment**:Weekly pay via direct deposit

**Expected Hours**:40 hours/week

**Position Type**: Non-benefits eligible

**THE POSITION**:
Quality Patient Centered Services, LLC (QPCS) is partnering with Centurion to support SCI Muncy. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) for first shift (6A-2:30P) and second shift (2P - 10:30P) with rotating weekends and holidays. This 1099 independent contractor position entails providing quality healthcare services to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offender population at SCI Muncy in Muncy, PA. Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific area of assignment. Tasks include conducting physical assessments in response to inmate health concerns, formulating nursing diagnoses, and making appropriate referrals to healthcare practitioners. Additionally, the nurse will administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor inmate compliance with medication regimens, and assess the effectiveness of treatments. Health education for inmates, as well as ensuring compliance with departmental regulations during inspections, are also integral aspects of the position.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**

**Qualifications**:

- Possession of a valid registered nurse (RN) license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; or possession of a non-renewable temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Must have past corrections or behavioral health/mental health experience.

**Legal Requirements**:

- Completion of a criminal history background check.
- If previously employed at a state correctional institution, eligibility is contingent upon leaving in good standing.
