Philanthropy Manager

This position serves as a generalist within the External Relations and Philanthropy team (Communications, Engagement, & Fund Development), coordinating a variety of engagement projects, events, and initiatives. This role works closely with team members to identify and develop opportunities to tell Ignite?s story and to create meaningful engagement opportunities that benefit the agency, donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and clients. The individual in this position is responsible for several key engagement areas: volunteering, in-kind donations, corporate partner engagement, and agency events (both live and virtual).
These duties include:
**Administrative**
? Lead gift administration, gift acknowledgement, and reconciliation process.
? Work with event consultants and Director of Engagement to plan and execute agency events including Ignite & Shine Gala, organization events, and volunteer activities. (Duties may include but are not limited to guest list administration, event platform management, logistics management, handling invoices, volunteer management, and overall project assistance).
? Update and maintain contact information in shared donor database.
? Monitor shared inboxes and forward to appropriate staff.
? Complete other duties as assigned.
**Engagement**
? Serve as point of contact for donor and volunteer inquiries ensuring the process goes smoothly, including by staffing group volunteer engagements.
? Manage in-kind donations and donation drives by coordinating with Operation Teams and various staff partners to coordinating delivery of items and thank donors.
? Coordinate, promote, and grow volunteer engagement on external platforms and with existing relationships. Provide support including but not limited to managing volunteer calendar, menu of opportunities, and donation wish lists. Thoroughly document all inkind gifts, volunteering, and event attendance.
? Work cross-departmentally to plan and execute events
? Complete other duties as assigned.
**Communications**
? Serve as first point of contact for Ignite ChatBot. Respond to social media messages in HootSuite in partnership with Manager of Engagement & Communications.
? Regularly pull social media analytics reporting from Hootsuite (etc.) for review by ERP team and program stakeholders
? Design/create engagement & communications materials following Ignite?s brand guide
? Complete other duties as assigned.
As a member of the External Relations and Philanthropy team, this position is expected to contribute to all department activities, and to provide ongoing engagement guidance and support to achieve project, team,and agency goals.
