Description:
**DESCRIPTION OF POSITION**:
This position shall assist the Director in the San Bernardino First 5 Nurturing Families Program, in coordinating the program referrals, data, classes, outreach to ensure all contract requirements and outcomes are met.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following**:
1. Assist Director of Community Programs to ensure the program is meeting the contract requirements, mandated reporting requirements, and agency standards, including but not limited to all data requirements.

2. Coordinate class schedules, locations and assist as needed with facilitating and child enrichment.

3. Assist Program Director or in their absence, present the NF program and services to the county, state agencies, school districts and the community throughout SB County.

4. Coordinate with NF staff outreach and work with the OCPSC program staff to coordinate outreach events.

5. Build program capacity through community outreach and presentations, attending at least one outreach event a month.

6. Assist in reviewing and approving all significant correspondence/flyers.

7. Supervising the NF data/ intake staff to meet the First 5 goals and all contract expectations, meet with assigned staff on an individual basis for supervision at least once per week to provide guidance, training, and direction as needed.

8. Assist the Program Director with preparing monthly contract reports and audits.

9. Assist the Program Director in providing initial training for new staff.

10. Coordinate and oversee the responsibilities of interns within the Nurturing Families Program.

11. Prepare and conduct the Performance Evaluation Process with supervised personnel.

12. Assist in supervising and participating in employee hiring, disciplinary and termination procedures as approved by the HR department.

13. At all times projects a favorable image of Walden Family Services.

14. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

**Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS**:
2. Appropriate experience and education in a related field:
(A) BA degree in social work or related field.

(B) Two years of experience in a non-profit

(C) Experience in a parenting program / community outreach preferred.

(D) Training experience in a social services agency.

(E) Bi-lingual English/ Spanish preferred

3. Must possess valid California Driver’s License and have a good driving record.

4. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearances from the Department of Justice.

5. Must meet all requirements set by Community Care Licensing pertaining to the hiring of employees by a licensed community care facility.

**EMPLOYEE STATUS**:Non-Exempt**

**SALARY RANGE**:$25.00 - $27.00 per hour - **Beginning salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
