Overview:
Opengate Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator of Day Services to oversee the daily operations of our Site-Based Day Habilitation, Day Habilitation Without Walls, and Community Habilitation programs. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement strategies that align with our organization’s mission and goals..

**Responsibilities**:

- The Coordinator of Day Services is responsible for the administrative management of agency day programs and services, staff supervision as well as the supervision of program participants.
- Responsible for program development and growth, including coordination with OPWDD and other state agencies.
- Responsible for program oversight, which includes observing program activity and service delivery.
- Ensures compliance with established budgets
- Ensures consistent preparation for audits.
- Participates in the hiring, development, evaluation and disciplinary process for all employees in assigned programs.
- Oversees participant’s goal planning, files and recordkeeping.
- Oversees the routine review and submission of program billing.
- Responsible for ensuring policy and procedures pertaining to day programs are reviewed/revised as needed.
- Participates in Administrator-On-Call rotation.
- Collaborates with the clinical department to support the admissions and discharge process.
- Oversees required annual, quarterly, monthly and daily reports and data relating to the program.
- Comply with federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy, and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Interacts with OPWDD and other state agencies, as well as with other voluntary provider agencies to coordinate/attend conferences, training, committee meetings, workgroups, internal surveys and audits.
- Provide role modeling, coaching and leadership development and mentoring to the Site-Based Day Habilitation, Day Habilitation Without Walls and Community Habilitation teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Follows federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines and reports any concerns to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Helps promote for each person receiving supports the establishment and maintenance of a Natural Support Network of family, relatives, friends, and/or volunteers
- Represent the organization at internal and external events and meetings, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring operational continuity, including providing acting coverage for absences and vacancies

Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s degree in the field of Human Services
- 3 years’ experience working with a DD/MR population, including one year of supervisory experience.
- Must have a valid tri-state driver’s license.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
- Ability to manage a fleet of vehicles and establish routes.
- Must have strong knowledge of the habilitation needs of people with ID/DD.
- Must be knowledgeable in OPWDD and other federal, state, county and local government regulations that pertain to services for people with Developmental Disabilities.
- Proven history of successful program development and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic interest in mentoring others and working as a team.

Salary - $70,000 - $75,000 annually based on experience.
