As the CAD Technician (CAD-T) you will work in support of the Research & Development Department by creating design files and drawings. The (CAD-T) drives company strategic goals by creating high quality & reliable design drawings. The (CAD-T) finds creative solutions, and looks for ways to add value by implementing and improving current systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Use Computer Aided Design to create production drawings from field colleague templates, vector files, dimensional specifications
- Modify and revise existing drawing as needed to reflect changes or improvements in design.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling by providing accurate time estimates for drafting tasks.
- Ensue all drawings are up-to-date and properly documented.
- Coordinate with other colleagues and makes drawings with sufficient dimensions, part-to-part orientation, and customer/project information including part numbers and descriptions.
- Make simple decisions based on work instructions and design tolerances, but refers most questions/problems to supervisor to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Set up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain compliance and improve design quality.

To be considered you’ll need:

- Associate’s degree or certificate in CAD technology, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
