This position is located at our New Britain facility.

**RESPONSIBILITES**
- Generate purchase orders for the acquisition of materials that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
- Utilize the MRP functionality in Chempax and maintain master data and planning parameters.
- Monitor and analyze material inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support USA operations.
- Maintain open purchase orders, follow up with vendors and inform operations of any delays that might impact production.
- Review market trends and supplier lead-times, adjust planning parameters as necessary.
- Review historical demand patterns and sales forecasting, adjust re-order points as necessary.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Logistics, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Receiving and Manufacturing.
- Work with Quality to investigate supplier quality issues, driving resolution and corrective action.
- Strive to minimize on-hand-inventory and increase inventory turns while ensuring manufacturing requirements are satisfied.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical factors and develop contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Support new product introductions, placing initial orders and monitoring demand.
- Process orders for non-inventory products as required, including facilities, office, and breakroom supplies.
- Provide cost savings through negotiating costs and deliveries with vendors on one-time purchases and/or contract purchases.
- Support accounts payable as needed to ensure payables are processed timely and accurately.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure market intelligence is incorporated into the sales forecast.
- Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participating in company safety trainings.
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Strong collaborator with ability to interact professionally with internal staff and external contacts at all levels
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with confident decision-making skills
- Strong organization and planning skills, with developed attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent negotiating skills with ability to build and maintain long term vendor relationships

- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
- Minimum of 4 years of related sourcing experience in manufacturing environment
- Advanced Excel and experience with automated MRP a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel as required
