Project Manager - Hodgdon Tenders

Responsible for the oversight of tender construction with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget ensuring the work performed meets the customer’s expectations as well as Hodgdon standards. The Project Manager, within the constraints of the contract, will establish the production timeline and will coordinate necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment with the Production Manager and the Manager of Design and Engineering.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

- Responsible for managing the planning and tracking of all aspects of the projects assigned
- Work diligently with the assigned Designer, Engineer, and entire team to ensure the Company’s project timeline is efficiently met
- Responsible for project scheduling, manpower estimating, equipment requirements, materials management, subcontract management and budget compliance
- Work with the Production Manager and the Managing Director to ensure timely communication with customers
- Act as second in command for the build team, observe the work in progress and relay information to the Production Manager
- Ensure services performed conform to the project’s specifications
- Represent Hodgdon with a high level of professionalism
- Effectively assist with running weekly internal Tender meetings which includes providing, in advance, a well-organized published agenda, staying on track of agenda, being prepared and adhering to start and end times
- Publish and distribute critical well-organized notes from meetings with Owner Representatives, Project Managers, Captains, Owners, etc.
- Organize milestone booklets at specified intervals for the Owner’s team to review and confirm that specific milestones have been met
- Must be detail orientated, accurate and proficient in all communication delivered to any individual(s) or company involved in mutual projects
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures that directly relate to the Hodgdon Tender Project Management position

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree plus 5-10 years’ experience (or a combination of education and experience) with a concentration in Operations Management preferable in yacht manufacturing or the construction environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to forge strong relationships with customers, management and employees
- Exceptional project management skills including job scheduling, resource estimation and cost management
- Strong ability to communicate in writing using appropriate language and good business grammar
- Strong verbal, communication, and listening skills including but not limited to allowing others to communicate thoughts without interruption as well as providing feedback when appropriate
- Strong financial skills including budgeting and cost analysis
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret or prepare specification sheets
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, MS Project and database access. AutoCAD and Rhino helpful
- Must be able to meet the requirements of the schedule which may include overtime and scheduling meetings outside of the Project Managers normal schedule

- Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Experience in project engineering and implementation
- Familiarity with lean principles and practices
- Proficiency in Smartsheet or similar project management software
- Experience in program design and development
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Familiarity with Project Server or similar project management platforms
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies for project management
- Demonstrated experience in scope management
