We are a busy family-owned excavation and paving company. We are looking to hire a reliable Supervisor for our Excavation crew to join the Hagar team. As a Supervisor of our Excavation team, you must be reliable, responsible, committed to working safely and be motivated to do their best with a positive attitude.

Supervisor duties include but not limited to the following:

- Responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews
- Oversees and coordinates the activities of field employees.
- Recognizes and addresses issue/problems that may arise among crew members and provides effective resolutions
- Identifies needs and deficiencies in the schedule and communicates these to the appropriate persons
- Reviews and adjusts specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production schedules
- Identifies, verifies, and reports any scheduling conflicts with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate persons
- Translates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each teammate
- Accountable for following project plans and schedules, ensuring that crews perform activities to meet production goals
- Assesses competency and capability of employees on the project, and evaluates the capabilities of the crew members
- Understands and communicates safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safety, while identifying the needs for crew safety training

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be experienced with knowledge of project construction scope, grades, slopes and the ability to understand project plans and drawings
- Ability to interpret project specifications.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of scheduling and planning.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess excellent time management skills
- Must possess a clean driver’s license

Work Conditions / Physical Demands:

- Normally standing with freedom of movement on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Work will occur outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather conditions such as rain, ice, snow and heat.
- Will often be required to work long hours and sometimes nights and weekends during the construction and plowing season.
- Regular physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Work environment is in a road construction setting, which includes exposure to various hazards such as dust, vehicle traffic, elevated noise levels, etc.
