**What You'll Do**:
As a School Age Teacher, you'll be the heart and soul of our summer camp experience From leading exciting field trips to magical destinations like the Luray Caves and Richmond Zoo, to implementing engaging activities and fostering connections with nature, your days will be filled with laughter, learning, and adventure. Plus, with pre-planned weekly themes and schedules, you'll have all the tools you need to spark creativity and ignite imaginations.

To join our crew, you'll need to be a dependable, patient, and creative individual with a passion for working with children. Previous childcare experience is a must, and you should feel comfortable driving a 14-passenger mini-bus for our epic excursions. **School Age Teacher Responsibilities**:

- Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Build a rapport with the children and engage them in activities

**School Age Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect are preferred
- Two references that can be contacted prior to commitment of employment.

**Teacher Aide **($13-$14): Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors. Satisfactory completion (no convictions of child abuse, molestation, neglect, or battering; or drug-related offense) of Local and National Background Checks.

**Preference for those with:
1. A bachelor's degree or at least 120 semester hours which included a major course of study (24 semester hours) with content as indicated above.
2. Possess and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or other nationally recognized Youth Development Credential.

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, instruct and bend for long period of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
