- This position will be based at Augusta, Hinckley (Fairfield), or Bangor MDOL/CareerCenter office. There is a possibility for some teleworking privileges after an orientation and training period._ _Regular in-state and occasional out-of-state travel will be required._

**Core tasks**: Program development, design, and coordination; Monitor performance standards, goals and objectives; Evaluate program outcomes; Develop recommendations to enhance program effectiveness; Create program best practices; Convene partners in the workforce system for enhanced collaboration.

**Sample of responsibilities**:

- Coordinate workforce partner services to increase participation of underserved populations by maintaining solid relationships and providing technical assistance to partners and sub-contractors.
- Develop program policy, directives and guidelines.
- Provide program performance interpretation and reporting to ensure compliance and reporting requirements of the grant are met.
- Develop recommendations regarding program design, performance standards, budget management, and corrective action measures.
- Engage in outreach about programs and services including delivery of training to staff and partners.
- Identify metrics necessary for evaluation and ensure that partners collect and report data needed.
- Create a sustainability plan to ensure program’s continuation after current funding period.

- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Ability to use independent judgment in handling work assignments, priorities, and schedules.
- Ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of and ability to use technology and common software programs including Microsoft suite, video conferencing platforms, and data management systems.

**_Minimum qualifications:_**

An eight (8) year combination of education and/or experience demonstrating progressively responsible experience in developing and administering employment and training programs.

**_ Preference will be given to those applicants:_**
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience developing and executing project plans ideally through grant management.
- Leadership skills.
- A high level of experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience using virtual platforms and understanding of virtual services.
