Education will be provided on an as needed basis, with a commitment of 10 hours per week. About Community Gardens of Tucson: The Community Gardens of Tucson’s (CGT) mission is to build community gardens where Tucsonans grow food, work, and learn together, and nurture wellbeing in our community. Established in 1990, CGT currently operates in partnership with 20 locations across Tucson. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on educational programs and workshops tailored for preschool - 6th grade students on various gardening topics.
- Conduct basic garden education sessions for children, covering topics such as plant life cycles, soil health, composting, and the importance of biodiversity.
- Coordinate with garden site coordinators and schools to assess the educational needs and schedule training sessions accordingly.
- Maintain records of educational activities, attendance, and feedback to continuously improve our educational offerings.
- Ensure school garden plots are maintained through the year including when school is out of session.
- Provide regular program reports, photos, and other materials necessary for grant reporting. Required Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening techniques, and sustainable agriculture practices.
- Experience in developing and delivering educational programs for children, preferably in a community garden or school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other organizations and stakeholders.
- Self motivated and able to work independently, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work 10 hours per week on an as needed basis, with potential for additional hours during peak seasons or special events.
- Fingerprint clearance card
- Ability to to perform physical labor such as carrying (40lbs), lifting, kneeling, bending, digging etc.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or training in horticulture, education, or a related field.
