Of Color Inc. is a community-based workforce and housing not-for-profit. We are an incorporated 501c3, African American and female-led organization that believes that people “Of All Colors” can grow economically and _**together**_ while contributing to the larger society if they are exposed to the positive resources that their communities and that same has to offer them. The organization works to assist at-risk families economically through sustainable employment, increasing their education status while leading them to a safe and secure home environment. We serve clients throughout the city of Chicago with a strong base on the city’s south side. Our offices are located on Chicago’s south side.

We are searching for skilled, innovative, and forward-thinking professionals with proven experience in facilitating **Employment and Housing Services** for our city’s Homeless Populations. This individual should have a Master’s degree with 3 years of proven direct program supervisory experience, in a relevant area with 5 years of proven experience. The individual that we are seeking should be highly proficient in Excel, Word, and other databases. The Director will report to and work closely with the agency’s Executive Director and as an integral part of our leadership team, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program(s).

**Salary**:
Salary is based upon experience, with a range from $80,000 to $87,500.

**Location**:
Our position is based in Chicago’s southside (we have one service site in Beverly and another in Evergreen Park)

**Position Overview**

The Director of Housing and Workforce Development manages the overall programming and provision of Housing and Workforce services for three programs (HVRP, RRH, and DVA). The Director is also responsible for building relationships and collaboration with external relationships with Housing Providers, Funding Entities, Business Partners, and Vocational/Educational Providers.

**Relevant Degree Types**: Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Marketing, Business, Job and Vocational Services, or Training, etc. Others are viable if **proven** experience and success is verified.

**Special Knowledge and Qualifications**: Knowledge of the Housing and Workforce Development industry; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Experience with external networking and agency representation; Experience working with the homeless population and their families; Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and other reporting platforms. Skilled with the utilization of computers for data entry, communication, and report writing; must understand how to navigate funder portals. Must possess vehicle and current, valid driver’s license and insurance.

**Work Environment**: This position requires direct contact with clients in the community and with employers, business partners and realtors throughout Chicagoland.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
