We are looking for a full time Kitchen Team Member to join our team

**Responsibilities of a Kitchen Team Member include**:

- The ability to prep and portion food, handle and serve food, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- The ability to understand and comply with the policies relating to food service and employment policies.
- The ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children, and parents.
- Ability to plan and organize meals for various classrooms, including for children with dietary and medical restrictions.
- Dating food stored and discarding food after recommended storage protocols.
- Delivering food on time to all classrooms
- Inventory Management for items used in kitchen, classrooms and common area
- The ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies
- May need to be in classroom during breaks and assisting teachers

**Qualifications**
- Food Handler certificate
- All employees will undergo a DCFS background check and will need a physical
- Must have CPR certification A current City of Chicago Food Service Manager Certificate (preferred)
