A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant’s education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

**Job Summary**
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Facilities Management, the Life Safety Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, and administration of major repairs and/or replacements of fire alarm, sprinkler, and fixed suppression systems. The incumbent will also coordinate major elevators repairs and elevator modernizations.

**Required Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years project coordination and facilities management or construction experience.
- Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**A valid motor vehicle license is required.**

**Required Skills & Abilities**:

- Coordinate requisition services and procurement resources for work funded.
- Knowledge of International Fire Code and NFPA Life Safety Codes
- Knowledge of facilities project management, construction, and vendor management.
- Ability to read plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting.
- Extremely organized/detailed with excellent time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project

**Preferred**:

- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.
- Four (4) to five (5) years of directly related experience.

**This Position does require a motor vehicle background check.**
