The Youth Outreach Specialist reports directly to the Youth and Family Programs Manager and is responsible for providing direct mentorship services to a caseload of 14-16 youth on probation within the Partners for Success Program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Include but are not limited to:_
- Providing mentorship for a caseload of 14-16 youth on probation. For each client provide:

- Weekly school visit
- Weekly activity
- Monthly home visit
- Text/phone contact as needed
- Develop & update goals and action plans
- Transportation
- Emotional support
- Translation/Interpreter support for family
- Establish and maintain communication with parents/parent partner (PP)/service providers/DPO
- Job readiness, career exploration
- Maintain confidential client records
- Submit weekly reports to DPO, PP, and Manager
- Submit quarterly/yearly reports
- Attend Staff Meetings
- Community Outreach
- Submit weekly mileage and reimbursements
- Maintain relationship/rapport with Probation staff
- Make monthly probation visits

**Qualifications**
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency (verbal and written) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences such as Psychology, Social work, Sociology, Counseling, or a related field preferred and a minimum 1-3 years of experience providing counseling, mentorship, and or social services work. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Awareness and/or involvement with community-based organizations in Marin County
- Knowledge and understanding of the Juvenile Justice system
- Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner with an emphasis on racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse marginalized youth
- Experience working with youth and partner agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, priorities, and programs to completion in a constantly changing environment.
- A communication style that fosters team relationships and an interpersonal style that is service oriented and supportive of other departments.
- Ability to use personal vehicle for local travel, mileage reimbursed at the standard federal rate. Must be insurable under MCM’s auto policy.

**Details**
- This is a regular, non-exempt, full-time position
- Local travel is required for outreach
- Hybrid with 2-3 days in the office in San Rafael, CA

**Physical Duties**
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and use a computer.
- Occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
