The Block by Block Safety Team Leader for Houston Texas is responsible for the daily supervision of the work being performed in the district and the Ambassadors in the field. The ideal Safety Team Leader should be a solid decision maker, have the ability to lead by example, work alongside the crew and do the right thing

**A valid Texas Driver's License is a requirement for this position. Strong leadership skills are necessary. The ability to work outside in all types of weather, and work with different personalities is a key element to be successful in this role.**

**Essential Functions**:
**Front Line Leadership**: Responsible to manage shift duties of the safety ambassadors while ensuring compliance to all Block by Block standards, best practice, procedures, and policies.

Responsible to communicate and lead daily shift briefings while assigning duties, zones, reviewing events, weather and safety updates to Ambassadors. Providing excellent customer service in the BID and towards the team of Ambassadors.

**Reporting**: Must be able to provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. Must be able to provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to Operations Manager.

**Professionalism**: Must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism.

**Communication**: Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.

**Computer Skills**: Must be proficient in computer usage with Microsoft Office and Excel products.
