Emergency Medical Technician

The North Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corp. in North Canaan, CT is seeking experienced, team-oriented individuals for part time and Per-diem openings as an Emergency Medical Technician beginning immediately.

Qualifications:

- 1 year of EMS patient care experience desired
- Clean driving record
- Strong clinical skills and judgment
- Customer service skills with all types of patient groups, other pre-hospital providers as well as other hospital and other allied healthcare providers.
- Professional conduct

Job Requirements:

- Must possess current Connecticut Emergency Medical Technician certification & current CPR certification
- Flexible work schedules, 12 hour shifts, holiday & weekend availablity when needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 100 pounds, and to push and pull objects that weigh more than 50 pounds
- Must also have the stamina and endurance to repeatedly bend, lift and kneel in uncomfortable positions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
- EMT Certification (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
