The Public Relations Coordinator is a mid-level role that will support the PR team in all their endeavors, including strategy, pr events and activations, pitching and mailings, team recaps and reporting, internal organization and maintenance, drafting press releases and presentation decks.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
**REPORTING & DATA ORGANIZATION**
- Ownership of all spreadsheets and reporting in relation to PR
- Utilize Launchmetrics for all seeding, mailing, and outreach needs
- Maintain an organized database of PR files, folders, and assets in SharePoint & hightail
- Track and monitor press clippings & create monthly press recaps for North America
- Maintain, edit, and update internal PR documents including press lists, team calendar, press tracker, interview quotes, award list, UTM trackers, and advertising documents

**LAUNCH STRATEGY**
- Assist with pr strategies for each launch, re-promote or brand moment
- Stay on top of competitor strategies and initiatives & conduct regular market research

**PAID MEDIA/ADVERTISING**
- Support manager on all advertising buys for paid pr media and branded content
- Assist with maintaining advertising calendar and pr budget

**EVENTS**
- Support comms team in all aspects of event brainstorming, planning and execution.
- Create, maintain and update event planning decks seasonally

**EXTERNAL MESSAGING**
- Own award calendar and submission of nominations for brand and product awards
- Help to write and distribute press kits, press releases, bios and pitches
- Build and maintain relationships with junior print and digital media editors

**MAILINGS AND SEEDINGS**
- Maintain inventory of PR collateral items
- Help conceptualize seasonal mailings and gifting moments for editors
- Accountable for all logistics and product shipments for launches, activations, and events
- Oversee coordination and recording of all product requests, seedings and mailings

**MAKEUP ARTIST & CELEBRITY**
- Maintain and foster relationships with MUA agents and their clients
- Help execute red-carpet sponsorship partnerships with makeup artists
- Conduct MUA research to grow MUA relations with new artists

**RETAIL PR SUPPORT**
- Act as main liason for all retailer PR teams
- Own planning of all in-store retail events
- Responsible for engaging local press around each brick-and-mortar retail location through pitching and mailings

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 1.5 years relevant and applicable experience
- Strong understanding of beauty, fashion and lifestyle
- Strong knowledge of competitive landscape and trends
- Highly organized with discretion and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Must live in New York City or Los Angeles
- LaunchMetrics experience preferred

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to move and lift heavy objects (20 pounds or more) from time to time as required

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000.
