Vast is looking for a** Manufacturing Coordinator**, reporting to the **Manager of Manufacturing Operations**, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. Join the team as we help manufacture the world's first private space station.

This will be a full-time, **non-exempt** position located in our **Long Beach** location as **second shift** support. Second shift hours are 3pm - 12:30am.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee, monitor, and facilitate the movement of components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely progression through our Vast locations.
- Coordinate the physical transfer of components across various stages including purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory, and relevant work centers.
- Coordinate outside processing of components and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Support logistics operations by optimizing workflow staging as necessary.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of system data in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to align with demands and schedules.
- Generate and maintain reports highlighting requirements, milestones, and limitations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with schedulers, and managers to fulfill action requirements.
- Communicate effectively and escalate issues promptly across various platforms and to specific stakeholders.
- Escalate issues such as part shortages, purchase order delays, and discrepancies in BOM to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with engineers and the planning team on the release of runs.
- Follow schedules through effective planning and shortage management coordination.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing or similar environment.

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- 2+ years of Smartsheet.
- Highly detail oriented and self starter.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical milestones.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
