This position will further the mission of developing agency-wide standards for employer engagement and leveraging employer relationships to better serve JVS clients, JVS staff and the organization. The Director of Employer Engagement will work alongside the Workforce Development team, the Career Service team, as well as with the JVS Leadership team, implementing strategies for success. Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with employers to facilitate job placements and enhance employment opportunities for our constituents. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, sales skills, market analysis capabilities and a deep understanding of both employer needs and job seeker capabilities. The position represents the larger JVS team, thereby equitably contributing to programmatic team performance goals and working to support the overall mission and philosophy of JVS. In the next 3 years, this role will oversee the implementation of a scaling plan that will scale the Talent Pipeline side of the workforce development team. *Responsibilities:* Strategic Partnership Development:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to engage employers across various industries. Identify key sectors and target companies and establish partnerships that align with the organization's mission and objectives. Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders within partner organizations. Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, understanding their hiring needs and collaborating to address talent gaps.
- Responsible for employer engagement activities including meetings, follow up and internal JVS coordination of communication activities with Key Employers
- Educate employer partners about JVS resources and coordinate multi-program employer meetings designed to address multiple needs at employer partners Collaboration with Internal Teams:

- Work collaboratively with and encourage collaboration between JVS departments and divisions to ensure agency performance goals are met
- Develop and deliver agency wide employer engagement training to all staff engaged with Key Employer partners as needed Marketing and Outreach:

- Track and analyze employer engagement metrics, including participation rates, job placements, and employer satisfaction. Use data insights to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze and report program progress, successes and challenges to JVS leadership, funders, and other key stake holders Industry Research and Trends:

- Stay informed about labor market trends, industry developments, and emerging job opportunities. Conduct research and analysis to identify growth sectors and potential partnership opportunities. Program Leadership:

- In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, take the vision for the scaling plan and create a strategic plan with realistic goals, milestones, and outcomes. *Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience in employer engagement, business development, or relationship management, preferably in a workforce development setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective partnership strategies.
- Experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently.
- Knowledge of labor market trends, industry sectors, and hiring practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong presentation, and facilitation skills
- Leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals. *Why JVS?*
