As Chief of Staff to the CEO at OpenGov, you’ll work on both high-level strategy and day-to-day operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity of the CEO and across the company. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in learning how great companies grow and scale, and how multiple functions across an organization work together to make that happen. But it is action-oriented and the person will learn by doing

OpenGov is on a mission to power more effective and accountable government and just executed a majority transaction with Cox enterprises for $1.8B in the third largest private software deal of the last three years. This person will serve as a "right-hand" to Zac and the executive team, helping to drive the company to hundreds of millions in revenue. Duties will include goal-setting and prioritization, in-depth product strategy, organizational development and performance management, recruiting, offsites and teambuilding, events, management, and communications. There is also the opportunity to help Zac on personal affairs so that he can stay maximally focused on OpenGov.

**Who You Are**

**Strategic Partner to the CEO**:

- Trusted confidant and advisor to the CEO - helping think through complex strategic and personnel decisions and make tough choices and ensure they are executed upon.
- Ability to disseminate information and communicate ideas on behalf of the CEO to internal and external stakeholders.
- History of taking control of day-to-day operations and processes to create more time for the CEO to focus on strategic business needs.
- Strategic thinker, excellent problem solver, and first-class communicator.

**What You’ll Do**
- Own and create a consistent operating cadence and process to drive alignment and knowledge-sharing across the organization, including: company meetings, executive team meetings, quarterly business reviews and leadership offsites.
- Drive process across the entire executive leadership team to ensure everyone is running effectively and on the highest priorities/challenges.
- Oversee organization-wide projects and initiatives; bring together stakeholders and help drive decisions.
- Provide project planning and management for organizational projects and initiatives, including annual strategic planning processes.
- In partnership with appropriate team members, develop internal and external agendas for leadership meetings and oversee logistics, as needed.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support.
- Develop and/or document internal processes for communications, operations and other organizational needs with appropriate team members.
- Work closely with the Executive Administrative Partner to ensure the appropriate management of the CEO’s calendar, prioritizing tasks and meetings in alignment with organizational goals.
- If interested and capable, there is the ability to help manage the personal office for the CEO.
