**Position Summary**:
The Operations Assistant** **will be responsible for efficient management of equipment maintenance work orders, part ordering and inventory management for the department, coordination of contractor support services, tracking and reporting of performance metrics, report generation, time management support activities, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

**Reports to**: Maintenance & Reliability Manager

**Functional Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate scheduling, assignment and prioritization of preventive maintenance work orders and oversee closeout compliance to ensure that the needs of the Operations team are being met.
- Effectively leverage Maintenance Management System (Manager Plus) to ensure full utilization of work order and part management software.
- Coordinate and organize part inventory to support production needs and minimize downtime (i.e. ordering of parts, parts receiving and stocking, inventory accuracy and cycle counting, etc).
- Assist the team with maintaining high housekeeping standards in the inventory parts storage locations.
- Track and analyze operations metrics specific to the manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Perform data extraction from Manufacturing Execution System (Redzone) for operational analysis and reporting.
- Generate reports and assist with the preparation of presentations detailing key performance metrics and operational data to support decision-making within the department.
- Provide time management activity support for the department (scheduling assistance, reporting, etc).
- Assist with administrative tasks and provide support to the Operations team, as necessary (i.e. training compliance reporting, travel arrangement support, preparing of expense reports and reconciliation, etc).
- Prepare and sort outgoing / incoming mail and shipments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Required Experience, Desired Skills & Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability and desire to develop new skills quickly
- Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills to work constructively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Self-directed and ability to meet established deadlines
- Previous experience in operations support or related roles within a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Experience / knowledge of utilizing a computerized inventory management system is a plus.

**Educational Qualifications**:

- Associates degree preferred OR equivalent work experience
