- Support the safe transportation of patients to and from surgical areas
- Serve as a primary assistant when designated within professional boundaries
- Choose necessary instruments and materials for surgical interventions
- Ensure accountability for all supplies, tools, and cleanliness of the environment
- Prepare equipment in a sterile manner
- Label specimens for the processing team
- Conduct counts of surgical instruments, sharp objects, and sponges
- Sanitize and ready instruments for sterilization

- Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating their needs

Qualifications:
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program or possess equivalent military training. Certification is required or must be pursued, with completion expected within six months of employment.
