**SUMMARY**: Quality Inspector maintains authority to accept or reject products as necessary, and ensure causes are identified, and that follow-up activities occur with responsible parties to minimize impact, and prevent recurrence. Any non-conforming issues are addressed to appropriate management. The Quality Inspector participates in continuous improvement activities to drive improvements in quality effectiveness. It is the responsibility of Quality Inspector to promote a quality mindset throughout the organization.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Perform first piece and final piece inspections, other inspections as assigned.
- Traceability - Includes the review of documentation in Absolute department regarding use of materials and proper documentation techniques on AG-1 Traceability reports.
- Assures that all inspection paperwork are completed in a timely manner.
- Review and file Vendor Certificates of Compliance / Certificates of Analysis as needed.
- Create and print out Certificates of Compliance.
- Assure programs, procedures and documentation are carried out correctly.
- Generate non-conformance reports for in-process materials as needed.
- Maintain upkeep of the material preservation program.
- Control and monitor Quality hold products.
- Reporting of DBRs.
- Assist in root cause analysis of DBRs.
- Other duties, as assigned.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES**:N/A.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work independently, with mínimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of ISO-9001.
- Must be familiar with measuring tools such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Tape Measures
- Taper Gauge
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:BA / BS from accredited school preferred, Minimum High School Diploma and equivalent experience of 1-5 years in quality and/or regulatory field.
**LANGUAGE SKILLS**:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Shop orders, product specifications, engineering drawings and contract reviews. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to communicate effectively to customers, auditors, management and employees of organization.
**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**:Basic skills in mathematics and statistics required.
**REASONING ABILITY**:Strong problem-solving skills required

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk for long period of times. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to both office and plant surroundings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, certain areas required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
