Operate heavy equipment in the construction and maintenance of new/all roadways & drainage structures. Assist in leading street & drainage crews. This is a safety sensitive and/or DOT position. As such, you will be required to participate in random drug testing at the city.

**Example of Duties**:

- The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description._
- Routinely operate all heavy equipment including but not limited to; asphalt paver, maintainer, bull dozer, gradall, backhoe, mixer, crane truck & boom mower.
- Use a variety of equipment to level materials, dig roadside ditches and dig major outfall structures.
- Some manual labor
- Complete daily work reports
- All other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation or in a related field
- Any combination of education, training, and experience, which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position, may be substituted or evaluated at the discretion of the City.

**Required Licenses or Certifications**
- Must possess Texas "Class A" Commercial Driver's License
