**Position Summary**

The front desk receptionist at NeuroDiagnostic Laboratories is the first person that a patient engages with and is the very important "first impression" for our organization The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for ensuring that patients receive the best possible experience while in our clinic. This includes providing thoughtful customer service, thorough and accurate collection of patient information, collection of insurance fees or co-pays, interacting and communicating with techs and physicians to ensure a smooth clinic flow, and communicating with administrative support groups when necessary.

**Essential Functions**
- Ensures positive first-impressions with each patient engagement
- Verifies all information in patient record is accurate and complete
- Collects required co-pays and deductibles from patients prior to their scheduled visit
- Ensures that current insurance and billing information are collected and accurately entered into the practice management system
- Manages workflow for the clinic by ensuring that clinical staff are aware when patients have arrived or have failed to arrive for a scheduled encounter
- Resolves patient questions and doubts in an engaging and informed manner
- Scans and faxes documents to referring physician offices as needed to ensure timely sharing of information from patient engagement
- Maintains a positive attitude at all times
- Employs strong listening skills, being actively engaged in each conversation
- Works with other team members to create and champion high quality customer care

**Minimum Requirements**

**Education**— a high school diploma or GED is required.

**Location**:

- ability to easily travel to the East Valley - Mesa.

**Experience - **experience in a clinical setting is a plus. Other experience working in a customer service role is also a plus.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities** - excellent patient engagement skills are required. Technical acumen and/or the ability to learn new technology and software is required. Flexibility and willingness to help the greater team is a must.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
