Accountant

Universal Photonics is a world-leader in critical surface preparation materials. Our dedication to the advancement of surfacing and polishing technology in all phases of fabrication spans nearly a century, and is supported with state-of-art laboratory, manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the United States, Europe, and the Far East. We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our finance team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Process daily A/R customer invoices
- Responsible for coding & posting AP invoices and research discrepancies
- Create/Monitor the set-up of new customers/vendors in the system to ensure accuracy
- Research and issue customer credit memos
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, wire and credit card transactions
- Responsible for making collections calls to domestic and international customers
- Maintain all customer documents on file (SAP)
- Manage AMEX user accounts

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA a plus
- 5 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting experience a plus
- Strong Excel skill
- Strong leadership skills
- ERP experience a must. SAP preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
