- **JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS**_
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- 2-3 years minimum experience in a fine dining restaurant as Food Runner
- The ability to stock linen, china, silver and glassware for service.
- The ability to ensure all silver equipment is in good condition and polished.
- The ability to maintain and retrieve all food items from the kitchen and attractively and safely transport them to an outlet.
- The ability to work closely and communicate with the kitchen staff.
- The ability to assist servers in table-side service of beverages, bread and butter.
- The ability to properly clear and crumb tables according to Taj Hotels' standards.
- The ability to properly set a table and carry a tray.
- The ability to assist in the breakdown of side stations, and back of the house areas.
- The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Taj Hotels.
- The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
- The ability to ensure clean, neat and organized side stations.
- The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
- The ability to recognize regular guests and to greet them by their name.
- The ability to use guest names for all guests as guest name becomes known.
- The ability to supply ice and glassware to bar.
- The ability to assist bartenders in service bars when possible.
- The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
