**Primary Purpose**:The Instructional Coach provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of services, which will include designing, planning, and modeling lessons. This person will provide instructional support to campuses in implementing programs designed to meet the needs of all students. They will assist the District in the development of instructional initiatives, staff development, curriculum writing, technology implementation, data disaggregation, and data interpretation.**:***

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**:***
- Serve as a math specialist to assist in the development and implementation of campus instructional plans that align to district goals and curriculum.
- Work with curriculum/instruction department and campus administration to design and provide professional development focused on improving alignment and delivery of the written, taught and tested curriculum to increase student success and closing performance gaps.
- Work with teachers and campus administration to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs and identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps.

- Guide teachers through the lesson internalization process in order to determine best practices for instruction using selected curriculum materials.

- Develop assessments to measure student knowledge and skills for content areas grade levels.

- Develop the scope and sequence documents for assigned content area grade levels.

- Create blueprints and course modules in the learning management system.

***
- Monitor and review lessons in the Learning Management System.

***
- Provide job-embedded professional development for teachers through modeling engaging, standards-based teaching as needed.

***
- Provide individual and/or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learners.

***
- Conduct teacher observations and/or walk-throughs and provide feedback that facilitates teacher reflection and growth on an ongoing basis.

***
- Work with curriculum/instruction department, campus administration, and team and/or grade level teachers in planning standards-based lessons and assessments aligned to the district curriculum.

- Select instructional materials and resources for mathematics instruction

- Manage and distribute instructional resources to teachers and provide training on the use of those resources

- Encourage and support the implementation of technology and innovative strategies in the classroom.
