Waterford Hotel group is currently seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join our leadership team as Vice President, Operations, based out of our Corporate Office in Waterford, CT. The Vice President of Operations will help develop strategies to lead the company to success while providing leadership to the regional operations team and their assigned portfolio of several hotels.

We are looking for a confident and collaborative senior leader with a proven track record of achieving results with expertise managing a growing organization. The Vice President of Operations will lead the development and implementation of corporate-wide hotel operation goals and objectives to include both short and long-term strategic plans. They will have the financial acumen and deep understanding of property operations to instill confidence and demonstrate credibility in the eyes of the Company’s financial partners and investors. They must have a demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable for strong performance in all areas including financial, guest service, associate engagement, and owner relations.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Proactively lead and support regional operations team to deliver desired results, continually improving guest service, profitability, and associate satisfaction.
- Supporting company-wide programs, communication channels and other enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Manage Profit & Loss statements with the ability to effectively train Regional’s, GM's and other managers in financial responsibility.
- Review, analyze and respond to performance metrics/data received from various reporting systems.
- Ensure all brand standards are in place and help implement any new or updated brand initiatives as needed.
- Track QA/Brand visits/inspections and achieve outstanding results.
- Train, hire and mentor the Regional Operations team, assist with the development of GMs and other operational team members.
- Review, monitor, and improve guest service scores and ensure hotels achieve top rankings within their respective hotel brands.
- Create and maintain positive, professional working environments in all hotels.
- Ensure positive people practices are upheld and are maintained by company standards and policies.
- Proactively maintains positive relationships with major brand contacts.
- Work with the executive team to advise, develop, and manage budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and operational policies.
- Maintain consistent communication with the leadership team.
- Takes a broad view of local, national, and international business, economic and political trends, and environmental factors to determine growth areas, opportunities and threats.

**Job Requirements**:

- 5+ years of Executive level management experience or previous RVP with 3-5 years’ experience at a multi property level preferred.
- Strong executive presence with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to think strategically, form opinions, and garner support and buy-in from hotel-level leaders and counterparts within the corporate office.
- Highly organized, self-starter and able to work independently whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Solid business acumen, excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to find common ground among a group or teams to find improvement or conflict resolution to move forward.
- Enthusiastic team player, with strong self-initiative and ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and internal/external circumstances to achieve the best possible commercial outcome.
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Clear working knowledge of budget planning and execution.
- Proven ability to facilitate organizational change.
- Strong leadership skills mentoring, motivating, and inspiring multiple teams.
- Proven track record of success scaling and managing hospitality operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

**Other Requirements**:

- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to work out of the Corporate Office in Waterford, CT 3+ days a week.
