Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee our testing laboratory operations. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the laboratory, managing laboratory staff / technicians, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations, conducting quality control tests on concrete and soils, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting the Lab Director as needed in the lab and also in the field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), quality management system (QMS) and other relevant regulations
- Analyze laboratory data and prepare reports for internal stakeholders
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of concrete/soils laboratory procedures and quality control
- Proficient in project management principles and practices
- Experience in laboratory management, including resource allocation and budgeting
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and interpret results accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of quality control and laboratory procedures
- Experience operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in laboratory skills and testing techniques
- ACI Laboratory Certifications
- ICC/NICET Certifications for Soils
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field a plus
- Minimum 3 years experience

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
