What you'll do:
Are you a diligent financial whiz with a passion for making an impact? Viasat's Central Functions Group is seeking a bright and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team

In this role, you'll play a pivotal role supporting our Finance team and business leaders, empowering them with the financial insights they need to drive strategic decision-making. You'll leverage your financial expertise to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and ensure alignment between actual results and our project, engineering, and strategic plans.

The day-to-day:

- Support the monthly accounting close process.
- Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Support and assist in the preparation of engineering financial budgets and operating plans.
- Create and lead financial forecasts, including P&L and Balance Sheet elements.
- Partner with upper management to develop headcount forecasts/tasking

What you'll need:

- 1-3 years "hands-on" Financial Planning and Analysis experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area.
- Financial modeling capabilities.
- Bold self-starter with a strong ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Communication, time management, and team-building skills: position will interact with team members across the business area and corporate functions at all levels.

What will help you on the job:

- Systems experience with proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting.
- Prior experience with financial modeling.
