**Role Summary**:
As the Claims Manager, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing the management and resolution of various claims encompassing auto, workers comp, property damage, freight claims, and subrogation. This managerial position is responsible for leading and guiding a team of 2 claims administrators and ensuring smooth operation, stringent compliance, and maximization of recovery efforts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the processing of all claims related to auto, workers comp, property damage, freight, and subrogation.
- Provide leadership and direct supervision to a team of claims administrators, offering training, support, and guidance.
- Develop and implement claims handling procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, attorneys, and other stakeholders to resolve claims expeditiously and favorably.
- Analyze trends in claims, develop strategic plans for loss mitigation, and report to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations related to claims management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all escalated claims issues.
- Facilitate subrogation efforts, including identification of opportunities and coordination with the legal, safety and human resource departments when necessary.
- Manage claims reserve and settlement authority levels within company guidelines.
- Oversee the claims audit process, both internally and with external partners.
- Continuously assess risk management practices and recommend improvements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., AIC, SCLA, ARM, CPCU) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of claims management experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing auto claims, workers' compensation, property damage claims, freight claims, and subrogation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Robust analytical and strategic-thinking skills.
- Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Committed to continuous education and staying current with industry best practices.
