**About BIllington CyberSecurity**

Since 2010, the senior most government officials and industry partners have convened through Billington CyberSecurity educational events to enhance the cybersecurity of the United States and our allied partners. The annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit, now in its 15th year and drawing over 2,000 attendees, makes our nation more secure by bringing together leaders and cybersecurity experts from the White House, intelligence agencies, the military, allied nations, industry, and academia to share strategies, challenges, tools and practices. Additional smaller Billington events throughout the calendar year drive ongoing engagement and community across the cybersecurity sector. Billington events regularly break important news that advance cybersecurity partnerships and innovation and are regularly covered by C-SPAN, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and many other media outlets.

**Position Overview**

The Event Content Associate will be responsible for collaborating with our existing event content team and working across departments as Billington CyberSecurity recruits and confirms government and private sector speakers to participate in our annual Fall Summit, our State + Local Summit, our monthly Leadership Councils, webinars, special VIP and smaller 1-day programs, and award presentations.

All training to be provided during the onboarding period.

**Specific Responsibilities**

**Event Development & Speaker Management**
- Assist in maintaining and updating Master Event Spreadsheet, Live Agenda, and Reception Run of Shows.
- Assist in the management of sponsor session placement, meeting space, and meeting room assignments.
- Assist in communications to help match sponsors to relevant event speaking opportunities.
- Maintain detailed tracking for all speaker participants including invited and confirmed: contact information; invitation delivery, response date, and follow-up requirements.
- Determine deadline dates for sponsor responses and related speaker names.
- Complete, manage and track progress of speaker clearance paperwork required for government officials to participate in Billington CyberSecurity programs.
- Assist in the collection and processing of speaker headshots and bios
- Maintain digital Billington CyberSecurity event archives including historical sessions, times, speakers, descriptions, and speaker contact information.
- Be open and available to assist the team. Examples: participating in decision-making, ordering event items (ie. furniture, florals), reviewing BEOs, creating and updating event related documents/materials, setting meeting agendas, taking notes, and logging action items.

**Internal & External Communications**
- Oversee end-to-end speaker engagement from invitation to panel assignment to ongoing event deadline reminders and fielding FAQs (with support from the team).
- Track and report detailed speaker recruiting/confirmation details to Billington CyberSecurity colleagues.
- Schedule and participate with Billington CyberSecurity colleagues in calls with prospective and confirmed speakers, their public affairs and/or communications teams as part of the event development process. Schedule sponsor debrief calls following each event.
- Coordinate onsite speaker filming and content/prep call with each speaker and their team as needed.

**On-Site and Post-Event Responsibilities**
- Participate with the team in day-of-event set-up, execution, greeting and networking with attendees.
- Greet, check-in, and assist speakers in the Billington CyberSecurity Speaker Ready Room.
- Manage post-event thank you outreach to VIPs and speakers.
- Distribute event videos and/or photos to speakers upon request.

- Excellent and accurate oral and written communications skills
- Detail oriented with keen ability to multitask and work under deadline
- Ability to represent Billington CyberSecurity with confidence and poise when interacting with high level government officials and private sector executives at our various events.
- Experience in or a passion for B2B event development and/or production a plus
- Curiosity about cybersecurity or a willingness to broadly learn about it. Any working understanding of the cybersecurity industry and its relationship to the federal government, including FedCiv, DoD, Law Enforcement, and the IC a plus.
- Google Suite and Hubspot (or any CRM) experience is a plus.
