**Rothman Orthoapedics **is looking for a **CCMA, CRMA, or EMT **to provide temporary coverage in our **Washington Township **office as a **Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant. **The _Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant _will provide both clinical and administrative support to our Podiatric Specialist. **Job Title**:Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant
**Hours**: Mon - Fri: 7am - 3:30pm
**Duration**:3+ months, starting in October 2024
**Locations**:
- 243 Hurffville - Cross Keys Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080
- 999 Route 73 North, Marlton, NJ 08053
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED minimum education requirement
- Must have active, valid CCMA or CRMA certification or national EMT (A or B) certification
- 2+ years of patient care experience, including vitals and basic wound care, required
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office and patient charting software
**Responsibilities**:
- Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room. Directs patient to surgery scheduling and/or front desk for checkout.
- Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter.
- Cleans and autoclaves instruments.
- Provides and scans proper paperwork to the chart for Physician's review.
- Records vitals as per Physician's request.
- Prepares injections for the Physician.
- Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam.
- Assists patient with clothing when necessary.
- Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full.
- Requests reports for various facilities for Physicians.
- Empties and restocks laundry.
- Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.
- Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart.
- Completes pre-certifications for MRI's and other Physician orders as necessary.
- Send Visco Injection authorization request to supplement pre-certification representative
- Scans information into patient record (including all Physician orders, prescriptions, etc. on the date of service).
- Covers other areas in the office when not assigned to a Physician.
- Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
