**Qualifications**
- 1 - 2 years Minimum experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, and / or human resources (HR). (required)
- Working knowledge of recruitment, screening, sourcing, interviewing processes, retention strategies, and willing to stay abreast to new/emerging best practices. (required)
- Basic knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local) as well as Working knowledge of University personnel policies, on-line systems, forms, and benefits programs and enrollment. (required)
- Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis as well as in groups using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and convey information accurately during interviews and in consultation with staff. (required)
- Writing skills sufficient to compose/update job descriptions, requisitions and job announcements that are clear and concise, using proper vocabulary, syntax and grammar. Skill in writing concise, logical, factual and grammatically correct memos, letters and reports. (required)
- Ability to analyze jobs and their related functions to assist departments in developing duties and skills, knowledge and abilities to then determine appropriate staff classification. Knowledge of UC Career Tracks system is preferred. (required)
- Ability to effectively communicate across different levels and groups in the organization; conveying policies, processes, and changes across various parties. (required)

- Ability to problem solve by identifying problems, employ reasoning, and work with departments in developing solutions as it relates to staffing matters as well as posses ability to work under general supervision and adhere to deadlines. (required)
- Proficiency in word processing skills to process correspondence, reports, and database entries in a Windows environment quickly and accurately. (required)
- Ability to work with large amounts of detail with appropriate attention to accuracy and clarity. (required)
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as well as of HRIS and/or ATS systems; savvy in navigating current and emerging tech in recruiting (i.e., LinkedIn); Working knowledge of university processing procedures related to recruitment, selection, and placement is preferred.
