Dispatcher

Contract Position

3 shifts available: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. 4:00 pm - 12:00 am or 12:00 am - 8:00 am

On Site

Answer alarms, cameras and door access systems

Call Centre County to have an officer dispatched to investigate

Coordinate and communicate vital information incidents, requests, and emergency alerts

Logs calls and requests

Monitors and maintains multi-line communication systems

Records accurate information such as location and time

Determines, monitors, and ensures the availability of units to dispatch

**Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to have conversation with individuals on the telephone, that may be calling in distress.

Microsoft Office

Strong interpersonal skills

Outstanding communication skills

Customer service and empathy

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Besides the limitations on criminal records, a basic understanding of how to use a computer and the ability to have conversation with individuals on the telephone, that may be calling in distress.

However those calls will be very, very limited, since we will transfer the phones to Centre County 911.

Basically they will answer alarms and call Centre County, to have an officer dispatched to investigate.
