**Job Title: Safety Technician**

**LOCATION: Conroe, TX**

**Job Summary**: As a Safety Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees. You will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks. Additionally, you will provide training to employees on safety protocols and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify hazards and potential risks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, PPE usage, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Stay current on relevant safety regulations and best practices.
- Participate in safety committees and meetings as required.
- Assist in the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies.
- Conduct emergency drills to ensure readiness and compliance with evacuation procedures.

***Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour General Industry) is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar role or related field is Required.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform inspections and respond to emergencies as needed.

***Work Environment**: The work environment for a Safety Technician Will include office settings, manufacturing facilities, work sites where safety hazards are present. The position may require occasional travel and working in different locations.
