Qualifications:
**Unit Secretary Job Requirements**:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous experience in clinical or receptionist position, hospital experience, or satisfactory completion of training program preferred.
- Able to perform detailed assignments and work under pressure.
- Possesses communication skills in order to relate to patients, hospital staff, physicians, and visitors.
- American Heart Association certification in BLS required.
- Basic EKG or arrhythmia recognition course preferred.
- Computer experience required.

Performs receptionist and secretarial duties while functioning as the focal communication source on the nursing unit..
