The San Diego Water Board’s has an opening for a Scientific Aid in the Wetland and Riparian Protection Unit (WRPU). The position is located at 2375 Northside Drive, Suite 100, San Diego.

**Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year. The salary range for Scientific Aid is $16.07 - $19.07 per hour.**

**Additional information**:
**Salary information - CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, - 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.**

Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in water quality control-related work consistent with the desire to resolve issues in the San Diego region/area.
- Experience/Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge/Experience with environmental sciences and water quality control.
- Experience/Ability to effectively communicate with others using verbal and writing skills.
- Experience in assisting with inspections, field investigations, and sample collection.
- Knowledge of State and federal statutes, regulations, and policies, including relevant sections of federal Clean Water Act and California Water Code.
