**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with students, staff, and parents, and possess positive public communication skills and written skills. The position is primarily supporting students in classrooms - at times one-on-one or in small groups. This position will also support a physical education class, afternoon student dismissal, and may have lunchroom, recess supervision, and other duties, as assigned by an administrator.
**Qualifications**:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Red Cross and CPR certified or willing to take CPR/First Aid class.
3. Dependable work record.
4. Positive work attitude.
5. Ability to supervise and work effectively with students.
6. Ability to get along and communicate well with staff, students, and public.
7. Must be flexible and able to work independently.
8. Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines.
9. Previous reception desk experience is a plus.
10. Previous office clerical experience, including purchase orders and other budgetary tasks a plus.
11. Experience updating websites and use of Infinite Campus, a student information system, a plus.
12. Must exhibit excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
13. Must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and follow procedures.
14. Must maintain confidentiality.
15. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite, including spreadsheets.
16. Ability to cover for the Administrative Assistant when she is absent, including managing guest teacher coverage.
17. Ability to support registration and scheduling for upcoming school years.
18. Has an understanding of students ages 10-13 and their social and emotional needs.
19. Teaching license not required but preferred.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or illegal substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. As a condition of initial and continued employment, the employee shall be a positive role model for students.
