**Description**:
The **Oncology Scheduler** is responsible for scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing, assisting with the billing process for reimbursement of provided services, and assisting with the outpatient registration process.
**What you will do**
- schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients
- interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms
- Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred
- Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, hospital personnel, and other support agencies, and strong customer service skills required
