The Family Ministry Pastor will shepherd families personally, through others, and through our ministries, during the stage of life when they have children and youth.

QUALIFICATIONS _______________________________
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vibrant, growing relationship with Him, fulfilling the character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
- Is an active covenant member or becomes a Covenant member of Calvary Baptist Church, holding to and teaching in accordance with Calvary Baptist Church theological convictions.
- A passion to see parents embrace and grow in their ability to disciple their own children, and a desire to help equip parents for this responsibility.
- A self-starter approach that exhibits genuine caring, discretion, a team spirit, perseverance, patience, and a sense of humor.
- A humble attitude with a desire to continually improve, a willingness to solicit feedback, an ability to make adjustments and a passion to honor Jesus in the ministry that is created.
- Ability to assimilate well into our staff culture.
- Previous experience working in student ministry is preferred.
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES _______________________________
- A demonstrated ability to plan, organize and implement ministry programs. An ability to gain expertise on practices and procedures that sustain ministry.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and implement outreach plans and programs designed to increase awareness of our Church within the community and grow the numbers of families attending our Church.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and work assignments with little supervision.
- A demonstrated ability to handle Scripture, prepare weekly sermons for the student gatherings, prepare teaching themes and curriculum materials for Sunday classes.
- Demonstrate genuine love and solid rapport with young people. Sensitive to needs and pressures of teens, with knowledge of possible solutions.
- Demonstrate ability to raise up, disciple, equip and empower lay leaders. A leader of leaders.
- Possesses good communication skills, both interpersonal and up front speaking
- Able to exercise initiative and judgment as an independent leader, highly organized and attention to details.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES _______________________________
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive discipleship strategy that encompasses nursery through high school ministries. Work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure continuity with overall discipleship strategy.
- Plan, oversee and execute the student gatherings and events, including creating the curriculum and content, such as: Youth meetings on Wednesday evenings: student small groups, monthly activities, summer camp, retreats, local outreach, and mission trips.
- Maintain a well-planned, carefully balanced program throughout the year coordinated with the church calendar of events.
- Recruit, disciple, equip and empower student leaders and volunteer team members. Create a team environment. Interact with students and their families during Sunday gatherings and incorporate students into various serving teams.
- Develop and foster positive relationships and partnerships with students and their parents. Be acquainted with the personal lives of students. For example, visit homes, attend school events, and make hospital visits. This also includes being aware of current youth development, culture, social media, etc.
- Oversee and assist our part time children’s ministry director in her role.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, annual conferences, and team building opportunities.
- Timely completion of administrative duties (budget, reports, credit card reconciliation, etc.)
- Timely and responsive communication to the Lead Pastor, Church staff and parents and students.
- Take initiative for your own personal and ministry development.
- Perform other pastoral duties assigned as needed.

Salary & Benefits _______________________________
- Salary: commensurate with experience. (Parsonage also available as part of package)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
