**Business Development Associate - **South Bend

**About Us**

Weigand Construction traces its roots back to 1906 when stonesman Henry Weigand began installing and repairing many of Fort Wayne’s brick sidewalks. Four generations later, Larry Weigand has led the company to annual revenues of more than $300 million and positioned it as one of the premier builders in the Midwest by expanding operations in Ohio and Michigan. With an average of 400 skilled workers, Weigand Construction (WCI) has completed projects from simple renovations to state-of-the-art, nationally recognized facilities and is regarded as a specialist in healthcare and wellness, education, industrial and commercial work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead community involvement initiatives (SB).
- Identify and manage project pursuits and qualify all project leads (SB).
- Communicate accomplishments and goals to members of the BD team.
- Continuously promote Weigand values.
- Evaluate clients, opportunities, and relationships to ensure they align with the organization’s values and goals.
- Take responsibility for the completion of RFP/RFQ and other proposals.
- Possess good time management skills.
- Manage and establish the BD budget (SB).
- Oversee a regional network within 60 miles of the (SB) office.
- Support and participate in internal and external BD efforts.
- Identify major strengths and weaknesses of Weigand Competitors.
- Prepare for sales calls, ensuring mutual benefits of partnering with WCI.
- Manage the client interview process and support our preconstruction team.
- Execute on the commitments we have made to the client.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 4+ years of proven business development or client relations experience.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and industry practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- This role demands expertise in MEP systems, strong leadership abilities, and effective communication to ensure successful project outcomes.
