**Job Description**:
Our Facultative Reinsurance department is seeing great opportunities to expand into new markets. To support this growth, the Actuarial Cat Modeling Department of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Data Analyst / Catastrophe Modeler to join our team.

This role will be primarily responsible for analyzing catastrophe risk using models and pricing submissions for all Facultative business units within the company. This position will also be involved in automation projects, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives, all serving to improve the cat modeling workflow and streamline the end-to-end-pricing process for both underwriters and modelers.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote in our Warren, NJ office.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Run catastrophe models and price a significant volume of reinsurance contracts
- Write logic/SQL code to process data for modeling
- Interact with underwriters and provide analytical support on contracts
- Work on improving and automating modeling workflow

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree with a focus on computer science, mathematics, or related field
- Desire to work in the reinsurance / insurance industry
- Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

- Proficient understanding of logic/programming/coding skills (such as SQL, Python, R, VBA)
- Relational database knowledge preferred
- Understanding of probability and statistics is a plus
- Excellent communications skills
- Expectational attention to detail
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
