Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Warren, Ohio

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support the company's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

    • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
    • Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecasts, providing insights on financial performance.
  • Reporting:

    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track financial and operational metrics.
  • Strategic Support:

    • Collaborate with business units to understand financial impacts of operational decisions.
    • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and new business opportunities.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Analyze complex financial data and create financial models for decision support.
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance financial performance.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
    • Develop and maintain robust financial systems and procedures.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
    • Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
    • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other company locations or client sites.
  • May require working extended hours during peak financial periods (e.g., month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
